1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Scorpius Tigre desktop application, its public website, and connected features offered under the Scorpius Tigre name. Scorpius Tigre is a local-first workspace for AI conversation, specialist workflows, project execution, review, and optional connections to third-party services.
2. Information you choose to provide
You may provide project instructions, documents, settings, drafts, and connection details when using Scorpius Tigre. The desktop application stores its working data on your Mac unless a feature clearly identifies an external service that you choose to use.
Public website requests may produce ordinary hosting and security logs, such as an IP address, request time, requested page, browser information, and security events. These logs are used to deliver and protect the website.
3. Google user data
Current Google access is read-only Gmail access. Scorpius Tigre requests the gmail.readonly permission only when you deliberately connect the Scorpius Tigre business Gmail account.
What the app accesses
The app reads the connected account identity and message data needed to show a local business-mail view. That can include message identifiers, labels, sender and recipient addresses, subject, date, read state, and plain-text message content. The app does not download attachments or remote images through this connection.
How the data is used
Google user data is used only to provide user-facing mail features you request: verifying the connected account, listing and searching business mail, displaying selected messages, and allowing an on-device model to summarize selected cached messages or prepare an unsent draft for your review.
Where the data is stored
OAuth tokens are stored in macOS Keychain. Retrieved message content and local drafts are stored in the Scorpius Tigre data store on your Mac. Drafts remain local and are not sent through Gmail. Disconnecting Gmail removes the saved Google authorization tokens; existing local copies remain under your control on the Mac until removed from the local application data.
What the app does not do
- It does not send, edit, acknowledge, or delete Gmail messages.
- It does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising, credit decisions, or surveillance.
- It does not use Gmail data to train shared or third-party AI models.
- It does not allow a human to read Google user data except at your direction, for security support with your agreement, or when required by law.
Scorpius Tigre’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
4. Sharing and external services
Scorpius Tigre does not sell personal information. Information is sent to an external provider only when you enable and use the corresponding connected feature, as needed to deliver that feature, to protect the service, to comply with law, or as part of a business transfer with the consent required by law. Third-party services process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
5. Security and retention
Scorpius Tigre uses scoped connections, macOS Keychain for supported credentials, encrypted HTTPS connections, local authorization checks, and bounded data retrieval. No system can promise absolute security. Keep your Mac, operating system, and connected accounts protected.
Local project and mail data remains on your Mac until you remove it or remove the application data. Provider-side records and access grants follow the provider’s retention controls. Website security logs are retained only as needed for security, reliability, and legal obligations.
6. Your choices
- Do not connect an optional provider if you do not want Scorpius Tigre to access it.
- Disconnect Gmail in Scorpius Tigre to remove the locally saved authorization tokens.
- Revoke Scorpius Tigre from your Google Account’s third-party connections page.
- Remove locally stored content using the application or your Mac’s storage controls.
For a privacy or deletion request, contact support@scorpiustigre.com.
7. Children and changes
Scorpius Tigre is not directed to children under 13, and its Google connection is not offered as a child-directed feature. We may update this policy when features or requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version; material changes will be presented through the website or product as appropriate.
